Green Crack is a strain that I’ve enjoyed in many forms at this point. The sweet, pungent odor and the ironically mellow (but still motivational) sativa effects always do a great job of alleviating any depression or anxiety I may be feeling.
This strain was the last one that I bought in the ceramic pods (review can be found here); I enjoyed the flower immensely back then, and it has been equally or even more enjoyable as loose flower.
Green Crack (Sativa)
Parent Strains: Skunk #1 x ?
Batch/Harvest Number: FFOBBULDPV000008 (that’s an “O” at the beginning and zeroes at the end)
Total Cannabinoids: 20.2%
“*” denotes the two dominant terpenes in this strain
Total Terpenes: 1.67%
Green Crack loose flower looks similar to the batch I got in the ceramic pods: medium to bright green and covered in bright orange pistils. This strain seems to have a more “loose” bud structure typical of sativa strains, and my batch was entirely comprised of 5 large buds weighing 4.0 grams total.
This batch is more prominently covered in cannabinoid crystals. Though the first batch of Trulieve’s loose flower was too dry for my liking, every single batch I’ve purchased since then has been a perfect homerun with curing and moisture content. This eighth of Green Crack follows that trend – great job, Trulieve.
Appearance Rating: 7.00/10.00
The first batch of Green Crack that I purchased and reviewed was predominantly sweet and fruity smelling, which an underlying pungent/earthy smell.
This batch, however, is much more pungent; the skunk/gas smell is so strong that it almost smells like ammonia if you take a big whiff of it. The fruity and sweet terpenes are definitely still there, but are somewhat masked by the overpowering dankness of the skunk and gas terpenes.
This is an enjoyable smoke, and the taste is very sweet, earthy, and skunky. I’ve enjoyed the taste of every single Green Crack product I’ve gotten from Trulieve, now including this batch of loose flower.
Smell/Taste Rating: 6.90/10.00
As always, Green Crack provides energizing and motivating sativa effects without being too powerful or overbearing. This is not a sativa that causes me any type of anxiety; in fact, higher doses can be paradoxically sedating to a degree.
I typically enjoy this strain in the morning or early afternoon when I have a list of things I need to get done, but it’s also good for leisure time and general relaxation as well; it’s definitely a more balanced sativa. As I’ve said before, this behaves much more like a sativa-dominant hybrid than strains like Jack Herer, for instance.
Possibly good for treating:
- Minor aches and pains
- Lack of motivation
- ADD/ADHD symptoms
- General relaxation/relief (in higher doses)
I’m definitely no medical doctor, so please take the preceding conditions only as my own personal observations from using this strain and having experience with a multitude of different cannabis strains. Every body is different, and every body reacts different to various medications.
Effects Rating: 6.90/10.00
Overall Rating: 6.93/10.00
Overall, I would best describe Green Crack as a “good” sativa strain.
As always, Green Crack is an enjoyable strain in each category, and Trulieve has done another excellent job of growing and curing another batch of it. It always works well on my anxiety, depression, and ADD symptoms, making it a desirable strain for any day of the week.
I would definitely recommend any patient give Green Crack flower a try, especially if you enjoy energizing sativa strains. I will definitely continue to buy more of this flower in the future.
