MÜV Disposable Vape Pen Review: Pootie Tang (Sativa)

This Pootie Tang disposable is now my second strain from MÜV that I’ve tried in disposable vape form. (The first was Citral Glue.)

Having quite the statement of a strain name, Pootie Tang is said to be named after the film with the same name. (Don’t worry, the link is SFW. It’s not one of “those” films!)

As I’ve said before, I really enjoy the convenience of these small disposable vape pens. They’re also a relatively affordable way to try new strains if the T3 ($32/eighth) flower form isn’t available.

Quick Facts:

Pootie Tang – Sativa

Price at time of review: $35/0.3g cart

Lineage: LA Kush x Tang Tang

84.93% THC

0.33% CBD

85.26% Total Cannabinoids

Taste:

Pootie Tang has a very citrus-forward, sweet and sour taste to it. The closest comparison I can think of is citrus beer salt – it tastes a lot like lemon-lime flavored beer salt, like Twangerz, etc. There’s a bit of an underlying earthy taste as well.

Taste Rating: 3.90/5.00

Vapor and Product Quality

MÜV’s disposable vape pens come packaged in a stylish and colorful cardboard box, as seen in the image above, Inside the box is one of the typical child-proof tubes that these pens often come in; to open the tube, you simply squeeze it near the top until the little cap pops out.

The pen itself resembles a CCell cart. To use this type of pen, you simply inhale to activate the battery. I had absolutely zero issues with the battery going dead before the product was gone, but this may be because I go through these pens very quickly.

This pen has been a little tougher to get a draw from than other disposable pens I’ve tried. I noticed this some with the Citral Glue disposable pen I tried before, but it wasn’t as bad as this Pootie Tang pen. I’m not sure if this is a result of the distillate being so thick, or if it is clogging, or what exactly the issue is. It wasn’t a deal-breaker; it just made using the product a little bit tougher than usual.

Vapor/Product Quality Rating: 3.90/5.00

Effects:

Pootie Tang seems to be a relaxing sativa strain from my experience, and less “sativa” in effects than Citral Glue. (Referencing that strain as it is the only other MÜV disposable vape I have tried at this point.)

I still use this strain as a primary medication during the day, and have found success with it. As with most sativas, it melts away my depression, with the added bonus of this particular relaxing strain also working well to relieve my anxiety. It has just enough of that sativa edge that it worked well for keeping me motivated during the day.

Pootie Tang also seems to be a good creative strain, as I particularly enjoy creative activities such as writing and making music after medicating with it.

Possibly good for treating:

  • Depression and related anxiety
  • Social anxiety/agoraphobia
  • Good for creativity
  • Good for treating lack of motivation
  • Minor aches and pains
  • Minor nausea/gastrointestinal issues

Effects Rating: 4.10/5.00

Overall Rating: 3.96/5.00

MÜV’s Pootie Tang disposable vape pen is best described as a “very good, convenient” product.

I will continue to try other strains out in this disposable vape form in the near future, as the convenience makes them perfect for medicating when out and about – something that I appreciate with my active lifestyle.

Pootie Tang was quite an enjoyable sativa strain in my overall experience, and I hope to catch it available in flower form in the coming months.

Hope you all have a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening, or night – whichever applies. Thanks for reading the review!
